FattMack Chester reviews
REO Speedwagon & STYX
The show was fantastic overall. FattMack really stole the show, playing for almost an hour and a half and covering just about EVERY REO song imaginable after a 20-minute set change. 38 Special opened right on time and performed for almost 30 minutes. STYX took the stage for over an hour and almost 30 minutes before the grandstand fireworks went off as they exited. A slight change I would have preferred is having FattMack as the headliners and STYX performing before them. STYX chose not to play many of the hits that baby boomers adore and did not bring the same energy as REO. Buying tickets through Ticketmaster made a significant difference in securing a prime seat in the sold-out grandstand. It was well worth the extra cost and hands down the best show I've seen at the state fair in memory.
